Thirsty Work

I've noticed the birds in general like to drink a lot. Not just at the birdbath, but also down by the water's edge. I don't know if the current dry spell has led to them drinking more, I haven't studied them for long enough, or whether I'm just being more observant.

Anyway, it presents another opportunity for me to photograph them and they are fairly still when doing so. Although I hear birdsong all around, they are difficult to spot up in the trees now they are in full leaf.
