Hearts

I usually try to gather some wild flowers for my little red vase for the table. Today I got some wild roses to replace the poppies that had died. As some of the petals fell off one rose I noticed how charmingly heart shaped they were.

Leaving Hop Farm today. It was a great overnight camping spot.
Had breakfast and aired out the bedding as it was windy and sunny - good airing weather. But we still managed to pack up the van early and leave by 9:30am

Listened to Johnny Clegg’s song “Great Heart” - “I’m searching for the Spirit of the Great Heart”. He stood up for justice and fought for freedom from oppression for the Black Africans in South Africa. I think he found the Great Heart.

Beautiful drive through the Sussex Downs on roads with trees arching over the road forming a tunnel.

Got stuck behind a Double Decker bus navigating narrow country lanes. Charming little villages, but annoying when the roads are too narrow for a bus and a lorry to pass, involving a lot of reversing and skillful driving by all the drivers. What is an articulated lorry doing on these narrow winding roads anyway!

Stopped in at The South England Showground at Ardingly, West Sussex to see Kevin at his Wine Tasting Stand for a little while, then went by Southern Motor Homes to pick up some items needed for the Black Knight.

After that we drove to “Green Pastures” Campsite in Romsey and set up the van while waiting for Jeannie Asher to come pick us up to have dinner together at The Kohinoor in Portswood and catch up.
