Guildford Castle

My view of Guildford castle... or strictly speaking, it's reflection.

The Castle is a typical (ruined) Norman keep in so far as it is square and sits on a mound (motte?) overlooking some of Guildford's many other hills. The external walls are still standing and on a nice day it's worth climbing up to the top of them for the panoramic views.

However, the keep and the grounds themselves have been highly municipalised with lots of pretty flower borders, benches and bins. I was relieved to spot this view, despite the best efforts of the two resident ducks who kept zooming across the reflection.
