Granville
We explored Granville Island - which is not really an island. It's a quick waterbus crossing and has a different feel. There are no car for a start which makes a huge difference. There is a big market, a lot of craft shops and arts galeries, and a micro-brewery that SparseRunner is quite fond of! We found a small but very interesting bookshop - I bought One Drum by Richard Wagamese and The Inconvenient Indian by Thomas King, and SparseRunner bought Go Tell It on the Mountain by James Baldwin, that I also want to read. There were a few more I would have bought if I had the space...
After the obligatory visit to the public library where this photo was taken, it was time to bid farewell to this wonderful city. We are now on a train back to Seattle for tomorrow's flight back home.
