St Peter's Basilica

I had never climbed to the top of the dome before and so I decided it was my something new I wanted to do on my visit to Rome. My friend was scared of heights so off I went* on my own to the top of the Cathedral... the view was absolutely STUNNING (as you can see) and having wandered around Rome the previous 2 days I could pick out all the monuments round the city!

*I had fashioned a scarf to cover my knees so as to enter the Vatican... so when I say went to the top I mean, I waddled much to everybody elses amusement.
