Stronsay’s sea toilet

An early start to be at the ferry to Stronsay at 6.40….. which is basically the middle of the night as far as I’m concerned.

It was worth it though as not only did we have a great meeting and have a cracking walk out to the Vat of Kirbuster but we got roped into riding around on electric bikes getting filmed for Orkney.com which was great fun. Perfect way to explore the island on a beautiful day.

The small building in the pic is a toilet that’s flushed by the sea. It’s recently been refurbished and will be fully functioning again soon.
