Industrial Site Veg Plot
We drove over to St Helens to the storage place to wait for the man with a van. He didn’t turn up and Melanie phoned me to say he had cancelled!
The website found another for her but he can’t do it till tomorrow.
We spoke to the owner of the storage business - Mark - and he said he would let them in tomorrow. It wasn’t a wasted journey though as we had to take a framed picture of Melanie’s that she didn’t want going in the van.
Also Mark was such an amazing young guy. While we were waiting he told us to go down the side of the building - a massive bright yellow industrial place - to look at his veg.
I couldn’t believe what he was growing and what big healthy plants they were and all organic. We then went to his office and out in the corridor he had a fridge and a freezer and shelves of tinned veg, pulses etc.
He cooks all his food there in a soup maker and slow cooker then freezes them in bags. There veggie curries, chilli, soups all kinds of yummy meals.
He said he had time there while waiting for people to load their belongings or bring stuff into storage. We were so impressed.
After that we drove to Southport to visit Sue (sister) and Phil (nephew) and had a lovely afternoon with them and went Churchtown for a nice lunch.
It was lovely and warm and sunny compared to the cold we’d left behind in Hellifield.
Back home and to bed after watching the Sewing Bee. We have to be up at 4.45am to get to Airedale hospital for my knee MRI. My appointment is at 5.50 am!
Goodnight :-)X
