bachelor herd

This morning, Laney and I came across a herd of 5 male mule dear with velvet on their antlers. These two made a perfect pose. And you can see how green it is from all the rain we're getting.
The urban deer here are really quite bold, no fear of humans. They happily step into the road and expect us to stop and wait for them to cross. And of course we do. And these two bucks kept coming closer to us instead of backing away.
