Hedgehog

This was just near my front door when I left to cycle down to Kirkwall harbour early this morning. I was hoping to see one of the family of otters frequenting the area but no luck.
Hedgehogs are not universally welcome in Orkney because they eat the eggs of ground-nesting birds like curlew, lapwing, snipe etc.
