The Disruption Continues
Yorkshire Water have dug their third hole in a month. The nice bloke who was digging the hole told me that he wasn't sorting out a leak but putting in a device where they could use a camera to check for leaks and also isolate which roads water supply can be turned off. At least they seem to have talked to the road re-surfacing team, so the new tarmac does not have to be dug up again.
It seems the new tarmac will not be laid until next Thursday, so Sylvia will not get a bus going to Barnsley for another week - well unless Globe travel can be persuaded to run a bus on Saturday when there will be no one working in the road (they seem reasonable so they might). By Thursday there will have been no service bus through the village for 11 days. Currently it's running along Thurgoland Hall Lane which is at least a third of a mile uphill all way - not an easy walk if you are 88.
