Walk along the Rawthey

As it was J’s last day with us I thought we would do something simple, so we walked along the Rawthey. We started off with a walk on a small part of the Dales Way at Millthrop Bridge and walked along the river to the next bridge. When I walked this way with R last week we had discussed the way back going the other side of Settlebeck School but were talking so much we missed it. Today we found a chap working in the lay-by who told us all about it. I really don’t know how we missed it! So we walked back along the North bank of the river. A much narrower path where I got my blip. As you can see we had another glorious day.
After lunch J departed.
