It's not very often the Rower manages to surprise me - but he's achieved it this time.  We were at our local Auction House Saturday morning, and I said - wow, I really like that!!  It's by that well-known German/Dutch artist Heinrich Camperdonk (I know, I'd never heard of him either), and it's a silk screen print.

So ... I went down yesterday to collect the Murano Glass spoils (see yesterday's blips) and lo and behold - he'd bought the Camperdonk as well.

Camperdonk was born in the mid-19th C and died in 1957.  Also ... and very controversially, his art was famously copied by well-known German faker Wolfgang Beltracchi in a huge scandal, which was the biggest German art-fraud seen in recent years.
