Synchronised XC

I booked QH XC for this evening along with a friend. Unfortunately she couldn't go as her horse was lame so on the spur of the moment I suggested taking Eva. It was advertised as 60/70 but some smaller stuff there as well so thought Eva could just miss out anything she didn't like the look of. 

Buddy was really excited and did a huge jump from way out over the practice fence which unseated me a bit, then on landing threw in an excited buck so I went splat. Ouch the ground was rock hard!! I was ok but really surprised as he's never bucked like that before- only ever little bunny hops! He just stood there looking at me. I think he was as shocked as I was! He was strong but settled down a bit and we did the practice fence a couple of times before setting out round the course. 

So proud of Eva and Jack (again!) Never thought we'd be doing pairs xc when this time last year she was freaking out doing a raised pole! We did two rounds and it was so much fun. We were both buzzing after it. She missed out a couple of fences first round but did most of them on the second. She's getting braver every time we go out.
