Waders -lapwing and redshank

These two birds should have shown bright colours but the lack of sun deadens everything. I went for a brief visit to a local hide and the lake was quite busy with avocets, shelducks, mallard and ducklings and several lapwing and a redshank. All was peaceful until a marsh harrier flew along the edge!
