House painting in progress

W and J brought their daughters today (half term), who have done a sterling job on the pillars and wall at the road entrance.  Meanwhile, here are W and J working on the back of the house.

We've not been idle.  W cleared the room upstairs which was a control room for the CCTV - don't tell anyone, but it's currently disconnected*.  We've removed the large piece of kitchen worktop, and W has set up his desk and computer in there.  We enlisted the help of our two painters to carry the worktop downstairs - and since they thought they might be able to use it, and we have no plans for it, it's now in their trailer and will be taken away when they pack up here.

And I put new header tape on some curtains we brought with us, enabling us to replace one pair in our bedroom.  Another pair to do, but that will be slightly more complicated as one of the supports for the pole is loose in the wall.  A job for tomorrow. 

*Once all is settled we'll get an expert in to sort out the CCTV, since the cameras are there.
