Eat My Dust

If you've ever driven on a dirt/gravel road in the deep south, the phrase "eat my dust" has a much more literal meaning.
Today, with my Sister's help, I recalled what it was like growing up on a farm. Most of the morning was spent mowing the yard, at least 3 or 4 acres of it, weed eating and raking/blowing grass clippings. Mid day was too hot for outside work so I continued with putting up additional blinds and replacing curtains in two rooms. Then when I thought the day was almost spent, Sister called to say meet her at Mom's garden patch. We planted tomatoes, squash, watermelons and 2 types of beans. We didn't finish but when your older Sister says enough for the day, you don't question, you just run. Actually, I did jog the mile back to Mom's.
