On the way home

Came into the neighbourhood from a different way on the way home today, and stopped to snap this shot - the grass looks green here but its patchy, some green some brown depending on what weed-grass you happen to have. It's a nice route for a walk but a bit of a long loop from our house so I save it for cool days - would be better for a bike ride.

Cloudy today, but still warm...the wind was ridiculous - no need for hairstyling as the wind was going to ruin whatever you might try...I almost shut my hair in the car door when we left the Walmart...a reminder that I need a hair cut perhaps :0)

We were threatened with storms all day but they were slipping North East as soon as they formed and the only rain we saw were a few large drops that sent me running for my washing, only to pass by before the ground even got wet.

The man at the feed store was very patient with me when I confessed to having no idea what kind of sheep food he had figured I needed last time I was there, because I'd forgotten to look at the sack before I left the house...and he found me the right sort, again...two nice young ladies carried it out to the car for me so I got home thinking I'd just throw the sack up on my shoulder the way they did and bring it in...I didn't quite hit the floor but my knees almost gave out and No1 son was called in to get the second sack...note to self...nice young ladies at feed store who effortlessly carry 50lb sacks are clearly stronger and fitter than poor old me :0)
