Take me to the beach.

The theme tune to the movie, the beach was playing on my spotify playlist as we headed down a very narrow road to Lee Bay. Thankful that we met no cars coming in the opposite direction we arrived at a free car park overlooking the rock strewn beach.
I set off to explore the rocky outcrops and found myself on a narrow path hewn into the rocks that took me to another secluded and more sandy beach. It was like finding a secret tunnel to another dimension.
We had decided to visit Lee having had this secret beach recommended to us by a woman at the National Trust tea room at Hunters inn. We were not disappointed. A quiet seafront and a quirky pub that sold two types of still cider and a locally brewed bitter.  After sampling both we had to leave Devon and head for home. It had been a lovely break and the weather has been superb.
Grateful for:
A lovely weekend break.
For time to explore Lee.
For a safe journey back home.
