Collecting the RN-TN single line token

Another visit to the KRSR at Tenterden today. This time with our friends Adam and Jane. We took the train down to Wittersham Road where we alighted to walk back to Tenterden, thereby adding 4 to the sparse numbers who join or leave a train here.

The walk back was fraught for the first mile as the path was through very tall and resistant oilseed rape which was up level with Jane’s head mist of the way. (Extra)

Better conditions finally ensued as we were able to make good progress for most of the rest of the route walking through vineyards, pasture, cereals and woodlands instead of oilseed. The only blemish being avoiding a herd of cows, complete with bull and calves who were standing where the path crossed a fence boundary. We sensibly negotiated a different route.

Thirsty we eventually made it to Tenterden and a well earned pint at the Old Dairy (again). Fortunately, I’d already made dinner, it only needed warming up.
