Beacon Fell

This was Barney’s favourite place. I missed him today, not barking at the bin men which was a very serious responsibility. He loved it up here and would have been cross because I only did one lap. It’s mainly non native spruce and larch. However, they are gradually being thinned and felled and native regeneration is taking over. The resulting increase in biodiversity is wonderful. Saw a roe deer from just a few metres.
