Market Day in Red
Up early this morning to take John's other car in for an air conditioning service, and it was market day.
We strolled through avenues of clothing, amazing wines, cheeses, fish, sausages, fruits and vegetables, and so early that only the French were there as yet, buying the best of it. In the distance, apricots fresh from the trees in the village, and beyond again, the cheese...
I liked this shot despite the imposing column, because of all the reds. The presumed son of the stall owner stands aloof and zoned out, while the transactions go on.
From there we kept walking, out of the village and around the Lac de Jouarres. Eleven kilometres might have been a bit much for Janet, but at least we came home to an excellent lunch, with strawberries for dessert.
