Eight legs of the small orb spider

This spider is tiny with a total head and body length of about 5mm. It was difficult to photograph because of its size and even more because of the wind. These photos were taken between gusts. A lot of photo attrition today.

The spider weaves a new web each day. It is very fine and near invisible to potential prey so to catch any, the spider adds two sticky spirals.

The main shows the spider's dorsal side, while the extra shows its ventral side while it was scurrying about weaving. I got this shot while it took a breather.

Thanks for hosting Jenny. Thanks also to WalkingWombat for getting Tiny Tuesday going eight years ago. It's a great challenge theme.
