We saw plenty of this place today - Cincinnati Eye Institute, which fortunately for us is in an office development in the adjacent neighbourhood of Blue Ash, about a 10-15 minute drive away. In the morning R had an appointment with a general optician, who confirmed it was a torn retina, and referred him to a retinal specialist in the same building, with an appointment in the early afternoon, which just gave us time to go and have a coffee at a nearby Starbucks - or rather I had a coffee, Roger didn’t fancy anything. Back to the eye place, more waiting, but eventually he was called back, and I didn’t see him again for quite a while. I would have had plenty of time to go home and come back later, but it wasn’t made clear they would be doing a procedure then and there, so I wasn’t expecting him to be that long. Eventually, he reappeared and we could go home, with another appointment for the next morning to check on it. He was to remain in a sitting position, spending the night in a recliner.
