Phil Harley, legendary caretaker

Phil has been the caretaker at St Andrews for 10 years and today was his birthday and retirement day so we had a celebration this morning. There were about 50 people who came to say thank you and goodbye! There was coffee or tea and cake and a speech of thanks from Tim, Team Vicar! He chose to talk about the Plymouth motto which is “the name of the Lord is a mighty fortress”. Phil has welcomed all the people that come tonSt Andrews during the week and dealt with the mad, the bad and the difficult with good grace, intelligence and respec! He will be missed!
