Dandelion clocks
Watching a baby grow, develop and learn is fascinating. I put this cute little outfit back on him today and we went out and saw the world. We went for a walk and stopped to touch the soft new parts of trees, rolled around in his vest in the long grass, rubbed hands in flour, then watery flour (ewww, he didn't like that), and then got a bit confused with different coloured pasta - gel food colouring for the win. His favourite part of the day was either the "rice in balloon" effort that I put together, it made a fantastic noise, or sitting on the lawn blowing and touching dandelion clocks while daddy mowed the lawn.
With every new texture, sound and sight he soaks it in. He really is like a little sponge. He sees new things and hands go out to touch, if this new thing moves then the hands spring back to his side. Anything shiny and exciting he looks to me first, to see if I'm happy and smiley. If I am then he gets all smiley and reaches out.... it's fascinating. Can't wait until he can communicate with words!
