Sunlit path into the ocean

Posting a day late due to travel home and dinner with family until late.

Yesterday morning as my brother was surfacing from the effects of his birthday celebration, I walked on Papamoa Beach with my camera. The sun was fully risen by the time I went out, although it was still low enough in the sky to dazzle. And to create a path to invite the solitary swimmer into the chill f the water. 

The extra is a panorama of Mount Maunganui. The mountain is low enough to tempt most visitors into climbing up and (when young enough, as we once were) then run down. When we were young we came to what was then a small seaside village to visit and stay with maternal grandmother. It is best seen in large.
