My back garden irises are now coming out - a week or so later than the front garden ones and a a few shades darker. 

I've enjoyed a quiet day today - catching up with admin for the local groups I'm involved in and reading in the garden.  I also did yesterday's Scotsman's crossword, walked to the shops with T and did my conditioning exercises whilst listening to the Speak Gaelic website.
