A day of music

In the morning I rediscovered my little blue tooth Bose speaker and got such nice music into the house, that we even danced for a moment - a first in 20 years.
Then, at 10 AM I sat down in my lazy chair to enjoy “The Magic Flute” streamed life from the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Amazing to be able to assist , right here in our small town by the sea. It was a glorious performance with so many new ideas. I loved this Mozart opera all my life so it is amazing to see how differently the main characters can be presented. The queen of the night, that was a beautifully dressed fairy in ‘my first’ performance in Hamburg in the 1980ies, was now an old lady in a wheelchair, but her voice was just as beautiful as the ‘first’ .
The three young boys were transformed into three small old wise men : see extra!
Never would have thought that I would sit glued to my chair in the middle of the day for three and a half hours.

The evening brought a concert to the Starlight Cafe by a very talented and professional singer and guitarist with her band which is my main picture.

A very satisfying day!
