A Scottish Happy Face

A drab, dreich, rainy day today with little light and little energy - the perfect conditions in which to finish the MKI bunnit! The wool arrived this morning and so I knitted its missing crown...as you can see I'm very, very happy with it. Seen here in unfelted form, that'll be tomorrow's task. but I think you get the idea.

Hmmm...all this Scottish knitting and bloody mindedness, to a soundtrack of The Corries, Matt McGinn, Hamish Imlach, Finn McChuill, Gaberlunzie etc etc....I think I might be feeling a little homesick. Apart from going up to bury people I haven't been "home" in many years, I'd really like to sling my tent in the car, my canoe on its roof and head North for the border...just bugger about Glencoe and Knapdale...maybe make it back up to Orkney (I've been meaning to go back there for nearly thirty years)....maybe I will...
