Stepney City Farm

A three acre working farm in the heart of Tower Hamlets.

We had lunch there in the Allotment Kitchen where they use local ingredients, with an emphasis on using fresh produce grown at the farm. Mrsfb and I had chicken. Oh dear :-(

SIL did some litter picking on the way there from the bus stop, and then met up with his friends in the WaSh Wombles team - a community litter picking initiative in Wapping and Shadwell. He is heavily involved in this, as is grandson Rory (first extra). I was amazed at how much litter they had collected. They had Rory taking the bags of litter to the collection point, which involved transporting it in a wheelbarrow across a busy pedestrian crossing.

Joe was more interested in feeding the goats (second extra). Initially his mum was in this image, but I removed her using the Photoshop generative fill thing. Amazing what it can do.

In the afternoon Rory watched the cup final with me. We were disappointed about the result. We saw quite a few City cars displaying colours on the drive home, no United ones though.

Under The Bridge At Bourton
Joe got very wet again today, washing his dad's car while Rory and I watched the match.
