Ullswater

The globeflowers are still out but not for long.
I was picked up, the bikes were bundled in the back and we went for a late cycle and swim to the old swim spot. It was so much cleaner, clearer, and fresher, than where we were last night. The campsites were rammed. People had parked up and no sign of any enforcement happening but we agreed we’d find it too stressful to try and the evening was so glorious it was lovely cycling… feels like the Famous Five Three.

The rest of the day was spent catching up on the phone with my sister back from babysitting in Switzerland and doing domestic stuff and gardening. It was so hot I had to keep retreating. Broad and runner beans planted out and some more sweet peas.
