Anyone for a swim

R left a message last night to say that they were going open water swimming this morning and would pick us up at 9 if we wanted to go.

When I woke at 8am I wasn’t sure and rang to check things out. It would have been easy to say ‘no thanks’ but then we would have missed a super morning.

It was about 20 miles south east of Uttoxeter on a posh camping site. R & S swam for about 40 minutes whilst we observed. It was a beautiful morning and there was a good crowd, but not too busy. I haven’t ever seen such posh vans, tents, loos and kit.

On the way home we called into a garden centre for coffee and cake. I had to buy some plants …a must. They will feature in a later blip. We will certainly be back.
