Its the Way It Is

Bray Head

Lovely weather today.

Swim, walk, chat, coffee.

2 ladies on the prom stopped me and asked me to take a photo of them with Bray Head in the background. They were English ladies. So as is often the case with me, without enquiring, they told me their life stories and that they lived in Lincolnshire. Do you know it, they asked. I’ve heard of it but couldn’t say where it was.

They told me they were sisters. Their Dad was from Kerry and their Mum was from Bray. Their parents met and married in the UK and had settled in Lincolnshire. They visit Killarney and Bray every year (their parents have passed away) but they feel that Bray is their spiritual home. I invited them to Poetry Circle tomorrow but they said they were flying to the UK on Sunday. They were so sweet and charming. They gave me their email and we said our goodbyes.

So I had an idea. I drove up to the car park overlooking Bray and took a few photos. The main blip shows the community garden and the extra gives a better view of the beach. I am going to paint the extra and send it to the ladies in Lincolnshire. It would be nice for them to have a painting of Bray in their sittingroom or kitchen.

I must now go and google where is Lincolnshire. Tell me blippers, is it where Lincoln Creams originated?
