Hat and blanket

A day off work to recover from working all weekend. After I'd cleaned the kitchen, done some washing and hoovered the kitchen/living room I decided to take the rest of the day to knit.

I finished this wee hat that I'd started on Saturday and sewed in all the ends on the blanket I'd finished a few weeks ago. Both of these are for Louise's baby, she goes on maternity leave on Wednesday so I'm hoping to squeeze in another hat by then too.

The day ended on a sad note, my Auntie Jean died this evening, she'd been fighting cancer for the last 20 years, she really is an inspiration. This picture seemed fitting as Jean loved to knit, I have very fond childhood memories of all the lovely jumpers she made me - and the matching ones I insisted she made for my doll (one of those life size ones you could hold her hand and she's walk along with you).
