Bonfire and BBQ

This  evening, we were back in our local wildlife area  for our group's (very informal!)AGM. But  before the  meeting, a few of us made a fireplace and lit a very carefully managed bonfire, under the direction of  experienced "fire-master" Colin, seen here in light blue tee-shirt. Everything is so dry we had to be careful only to set alight our  prunings  and coppiced wood. Once the  flames had died down we cooked potatoes  and salmon over the embers, which we ate, listening to birdsong, as the sun set, after the AGM. A lovely evening.
