Return to Sussex

Back in Sussex for the first time since we sold our house last November. I had to return to visit the dentist having broken a tooth last month. The dentist gave me two options: one costing £765, the other cost nothing. I chose the latter - no treatment required. Before visiting the dentist I managed to catch up with the ecologist who took over my heathland butterfly transect. We walked the transect but there were hardly any butterflies around. I also had a late afternoon walk around Sheffield Park where the rhododendrons are still looking quite good. Then it was off to Surrey for a curry with my son in Dorking and an overnight stay at his house.
