Thistles on the ridge over-looking Kas

Actually just 2 feet from yesterday's photo of the magnificent and delicate fly/butterfly...... Nemoptera Bipennis, which I could not find in an internet search under Turkey!

I had to climb the cliff again (blipfoto rules) to take this thistle over-looking Kas Bay and looking out towards Meis Island. It has a terrific view on a very windy day. Bigger prickles here. We saw a few more of the same flies/butterflies, so they obviously thrive here in this scrubby, dry, sunny area.

It is great to be in the sun as Switzerland is still getting snow apparently!
