Common spotted orchid

Mind you it took a bit of finding.
The gov had a recollection of a walk at this time of the year but two or three years ago when we saw a lot of orchids.
Thanks to My Routes we narrowed it down and as a reward for days in the garden, took the afternoon off.
This common spotted was the only variety we saw and they were definitely common!
Not sure if we are too early or too late for the bee orchids and more exotic varieties.
