Our own
There are so many gorgeous buttercup meadows around at the moment and we have our own at the bottom of the garden. Not quite as impressive as some of them, but we can look at it every day. (Of course the far field is the one where there are sheep and nothing is growing.)
A long time ago I went on a day of identifying wildflowers. It was not good and probably put me off identification for life but I do remember that the guy took us to a hedgerow where there were buttercups and asked us to identify at least four different kinds. I had no idea what these different kinds were . . . and still don't.
We went to do some early morning brief shopping and had to use all the back roads to avoid, on the one hand Lake District traffic, and on the other Fair vehicles lining the roads ready for next weekend. We are now not moving for several days.
