Bags of Pollen!

The bees were loving the Ceanothus this afternoon, as was a Red Admiral, the first butterfly of the year, but it was too quick for me.

A busy morning of phone calls, the result of which is Dad is going to stay for a fourth week of respite care, for both our sakes. I might go away for a few days again, otherwise I know I’ll end up visiting him every day which defeats the object of the respite care. Can’t help feeling guilty though...

After my hospice zoom art lesson, did a spot of weeding in the very overgrown garden, but first I very sadly had to clear away a headless baby Blackbird. Chilly again this morning, but the afternoon warmed up to 18 degrees.

Thank you for your kind stars and words yesterday, Dad’s doing ok, just needs more time for the ribs to heal before he comes home. Sparky is a real sweetheart, but, at the grand old age of 15, he takes life at a slow pace.
