Today the cement arrived for the path and patio reconfiguration. Annoyingly they sent a truck that couldn’t reach all the areas, so I went over to my 84 year old carpenter neighbour to see if he had a wheelbarrow I could borrow. Of course he said and fetched it from his garden, clearing it of weeds and woodlice on the way. He made it himself he told me. In 1939 I thought uncharitably. As it was nearly falling apart I didn’t have the heart to wreck it and went to B&Q to buy a metal one to do the job.
