May Blossom.

This has been an exceptional year for May or Hawthorn Blossom, I'm sure I've never seen it so good. Apparently this holds for most of the country. Many ( me included) believe the old saying 'Ne’er cast a clout till May be out' refers to this blossom rather than the month of May, a clout being clothing...

This particular tree is beside the road from Bartlow to Castle Camps.

In the afternoon we made a visit to Scottsdales our local garden centre to buy some plants and compost.
