Long Purple

A fruitless early-morning trip to Barnack Hills and Holes to hunt for Mountain Everlasting - clearly not yet flowering! But there were more Early Purple-orchids than I've seen for a while, and the first Man Orchids were just coming into bloom, so still worth going.

I then visited a neighbouring village where half a dozen Man Orchids have unexpectedly appeared on a road verge being managed for wildlife - a real bonus for the hard-working local residents.
