Memory Lane

Near the entrance to Ameroo, my dad's new care home, is this wall of residents' wedding photographs from the 40's and 30's. It occurs to me that there was probably no rationing in Australia after the war so these photos feature gorgeous dresses and celebratory dinners. It's a lovely idea I think to remember people in their prime, and don't they look glamorous in glorious black and white?
