I finished the excellent House of Stone, by Christina Lamb. It tells the (true) story of a black woman and white farmer growing up in 20th century Rhodesia/Zimbabwe. Absolutely fascinating - and heartbreaking - for me to read - my Dad grew up there in exactly the same period.
