The talk of the town

Leith (or parts of Leith that reside on Facebook etc) is up in arms about the introduction of new parking restrictions in what has been, to date, a very relaxed part of town. It's not all finished yet but some roads and a bridge have been closed and all of the on street parking is being turned into either permit spaces, paid spaces, or simply covered with double yellows. They're everywhere.

I support safer streets, better cycling opportunities and fewer car journeys, but I can see that some people living in the area will literally have nowhere to park their existing vehicles... Lots of conflicts...

Resisted taking a photo of a van parked on the pavement to avoid the double yellows this morning!
