New slightly stressful octopus

The last day of May!
Glistening sun, warmth. It's my
favourite season.

More half term mayhem.  At least it's warm!  Ben was up early but that was mostly OK.  We went to the shops and he was pushy, wanting things like pretzels and electric toothbrushes.  It makes what should be simple, into stressful.  I defused most of it and we came home fine.  Later he was angry because I said I wouldn't buy him an ear torch to play first aid with.  It's so frustrating how I'm struggling to get the balance right at the moment.  I can't get out and about much because he's unpredictable but then he's getting bored at home and that leads to him coming up with things like "can I have an ear torch?.."  My plan for tomorrow is to draw up a timetable of snacks so he knows what is upcoming, as a lot of his angst is food related.  
Anyway, Leo has a few new toys.  I ordered some balls and an octopus.  The octopus has crinkly tentacles and Leo seems to like crunching them, the head also has a squeaker.. this part he is less sure of.  If he catches it with his teeth and it squeaks, he sort of backs off and since I took this photo he's started whimpering at it.  So I've put it away for now.  Not sure if that counts as Helicopter Dog Parenting!! But I didn't like to think he was getting worried about it :-D
