Silver Edge Iris

I first saw these beautiful irises growing in the walled garden of Dumfries House. I know have some growing in  my own garden and for the moment they are my favourites.

Yesterday there were some spear like buds ..... today when I came home from badminton three had opened out into beautiful flowers.

Out with the hose again today. Back garden first because by mid afternoon it's the front garden that is bathed in sunshine.
