Lips

These lips adorn a former 1930s warehouse which has been converted into a three level home in the nearby suburb of Erskineville. A local landmark, the lips first appeared in the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade, when they were plain red.

In 2021 the lips were repainted to feature Australian native flora wattle and gum blossom, painted bt Blue Mountains artist Rachel Szaley. More than a bit of red remains. (Source: Domain Real Estate.)
