Lake Hamilton Eating House
If you have been on the Coffin Bay to Elliston road you would have probably seen this 1850s reminder of a forgotten age. It was restored in the 1990s and is in reasonable condition. In the 140km journey there were two small settlements of houses, a phone box and a gravel pit. The scenery was nice most of the way with some bigger gum trees with large thick trunks. I’m thinking they might be Red Gums as there was a road with that name.
Tonight we are in Elliston. Good views from the cliffs. Down town wasn’t busy at 4.30pm. The bakery was closed but we will return tomorrow as WWombat says it’s good.
